Store Assistant_Heartland Alliance International (HAI)

Essential Responsibilities
- Serve as a point of contact for logistics needs in the state office.
- Maintain and update the list of assets for the organization for asset insurance purposes
- The Store Assistant will plan, support and implement an efficient logistics and supply chain management system for HAN in accordance with donor requirements and stipulated guidelines of the Federal Government of Nigeria
- Assist in procurement of commodities, from market research and supplier identification to logistics and post-procurement support, warehousing, distribution, utilization and reporting.
- Work closely with the Account Advisor to ensure physical verification of commodities are conducted as when due.
- Strictly follow the store management procedures as set in the HAN policy and ensure all processes are followed and documented.
- Ensure a monthly report of stock balances are shared with the Procurement Manager and Director of Finance and Operations.
- Assist with ensuring the adequate security of HAN office buildings at all times.
- Provide support during training including managing of training materials.
- Supervise the Transport and Office Assistants in the zone or state.

Education and/or Experience:
- HND/ Bachelor Degree
- Minimum of 2 years work experience preferably in logistics and store keeping function in an NGO setting
- Excellent computing skill
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in supply chain management system is highly desired.

Language Skills:
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Knowledge of Local Language preferred.
- Demonstrated competency in public speaking
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook/Exchange, Windows operating systems, Power Point.
- Other software routinely used by Heartland Alliance
